The Gameplan
Mission 1: The traitor goes in the sporepod with the devgants. This will give them better leadership, and hide the traitor in reserves to deny the opponent killing it. Everything will deepstrike/reserve this mission, unless I can infiltrate the broodlords into a good position. When it comes on, pick a half of the table and do as much damage as I can. The tervigons spawn units into terrain that go to ground, and the traitor deepstrikes into the opponent's deployment zone.

Mission 2: Tervigons spawn and the broods go to ground. Tervigons both move into an unoccupied quarter, squirting out troops as they go. Genestealers scoot into the other unoccupied quarter. Devgants deep strike onto opponents objective and try to make them fail a LD to run off the board. Trygons deepstrike into 1 unoccupied quarter each. Harpies pew pew laser everything with the hive guards in the center, joined by the tyraid prime. Tyrant walks on into the unoccupied quarter on my side.

Mission 3: Null deployment. The tyranid prime gets selected as the double points HQ. Cheap x 2 is still pretty cheap. Aim for his expensive stuff with everything focusing on making their points back.

Questions? Comments? Cares? Concerns? Changes?
I'm considering taking the hive guard in 3 broods of 2.

Personally, you need to max your heavy and elite support. The key issue is that your going to see a few dark light list and thats not even counting the other list out there that have wracking power.

Breaking armour is going to be key and your need a force that will take care of that. On top of that your going to need bodies of troops to hold off the assaults. Bodies will give cover saves to the much needed units that can take it. That way you can then use deployment to hide the MC for the cover save as well.

I would drop the devgant squad to just a few models. Pod in and use the pod to hide behind to hold terrian and or objectives.

Broodlord cost to much in a 12 man squad. Up the body count for the unit and drop him alll together.

Nids need bodies on the field of battle. What ever that body is, you need to max it out. Big bodies with big bodies, and small bodies with loooooooots of small bodies.

As they say in warhammer,,, rank and file.

Key item would be four big bodies in a corner. Each body with regen and ranged fire power. Once the front take wounds, circle some to bring another full health guy front and center to the los of the direction you are taking woudns....

I would run three heavies, and one hq in the blob. That way you have a hard hitting MC to assist the ranged fire power if needed.

I'm considering dropping the TS/AG upgrades on the outflank tervigon, the Harpy AG, and two devgants for another hive guard.
This way, I can run them in 3 groups of 3-2-2 and shoot at more targets. They'll get run in a big group anyway, so if one group misses a vital target they can be supported by another.
The way the missions are set up, I would love to see someone run a DE list against mine. They'd really only do well in the killpoints mission.

Regen is pretty much garbage in my book unless its on a Tyranid prime.
