Alright, so I've read a lot about how dual-wolf claws do not allow you to reroll both to wound and to hit. I got it. They have it in the FAQ. Totally understand that.
I also understand since they're considered lightning claws (As per the description on pg. 60 of the Space Wolf Codex, that dual wielding them will give you a +1 due to them being special weapons and applying to the rule on pg 42 of the Core Rules.
WHAT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IS - 'They allow the wielder to cut four times instead of once...' in the Description on page 60 of the Space Wolves Codex
SO!
Does that mean I get 4+1 attacks? Or 4+4+1 attacks? Or just 1+1 attacks?
Why would it say it allowed to cut for times otherwise?
Before you bring up the argument 'to re-roll hit' it states in the description in the Space Wolves Codex pg 60 that the reason why you get to choose to re-roll hit is if you slash, or re-roll wound if you stab. 'Either slashing to maximise his chance of hitting the foe or stabbing deep to ensure a swift kill.' - Exact-o Quote from the Book.

This is just fluff and not an actual rule.
You get the model's base attacks and one more for having two of the same weapon.

They cut four times because there are four blades.
They do not grant four attacks. "cutting" is not something covered by the rules.
As Tylarion says, that's just fluff.

Yeah, as was said, that cutting four times, is just background fluff. They work in the same way as normal lightning claws, your base attacks +1 for having two of them. The only thing that makes them different, you get to choose what you want to re-roll, to hit, or to wound.

it is simply fluff.......we think.
The issue with the approach of "it is just fluff" is that sometimes people have a hard time distinguising what is fluff and what is rules. Hell, sometimes even GW have a hard time doing it.
Even individuals who usually promote a hardline RAW approach will sometimes mistakenly attempt to use fluff as a justification for their interpretation of the rules.
Would you believe that some people used the fact that they were described as being "very fast" (paraphrased) as justification for their interpretation of the rules?
As a rule, if the text does not refer to a rule/word/situation described in the actual mechanics of the rules...it is fluff.

Fortunately, it is pretty clear in this case. Unless someone can find rules for cutting.

Oh, I totally agree with you Scott-S6.
I was addressing the overall problem with the "it is just fluff" approach, and presented my solution.
