I'm considering adding an Inquisitor and retinue to my GK army and want to use a jokaero or two in the squad. Using the monkey model is out of the question for me so I'm trying to think of alternatives.

One idea I have is to use some kind of bot with an array of different weapons attached. I think this would be a good representation of a model that can use many different types of weapon as well as a model that could reasonably explain the inconceivable customization effects.

So, I'd love to hear ideas from dakka, and I'll update later when I've got a chance to search the interwebz for inspiration as well.

If ever I field a GK army, I'll be using one of my lego minifigs as a Jokaero, just because I can

I'm planning on using tech-adepts/tech-priests (from FW) and IG Enginseers as my jokaero stand-ins. They really can't be confused with any of the other henchman types, and it makes just as much sense that a represenative from the Adeptus Mechanicus could pull lascannons out of his bum as it would for a tiny space monkey.

I took a look at the FW tech-priest and I think you're on to something Armyman. It's a really cool model, and not too expensive.

I haven't worked with resin before. But it shouldn't be too hard to graft a few weapons onto his servo-arms should it?

Didn't think much of the GW jokero mini's then I found this reaper one. He's the right scale too. Check him out.

I've seen the Reaper cyber-ape, and he is certainly better looking than GW's jokaero, but I really wanted to stay as far away from using an ape as possible.

I use a pair of old Ral Partha Sasquatches, painted orange with grey-black skin (they look like monkeymen) because I already had them.

Otherwise, I would have bought some of Eureka miniatures' winged fezzed monkeys (fly my pretties).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

Im putting my 1+ in for the forge world tech priest, which is a great idea.

I built a Kroot weaponsmith using some Tau technology to represent the digital weapons. The models are cheap, and I believe fit in well having already been established as alien mercenaries.

How about a Squat or a Star Wars droid, e.g. IG-88 and medical:
