Have I made the support elements too small to have effect and to fragile to give up easy VP's?

My Game plan is too identify a Fantasy 2000 point army that would look good on my jungle terrain table. I have virtually no experience with Lizardmen. I poured through the tactics column and this is what I came up with. Id have to buy, assemble and paint the whole thing. Ill use my ink technique I used for my 40k Ork Army for these guys.

Can the Slaan hide in one of the Sauras Units, Ill have them 5 across and 6 rows deep. Ill drop the braves. Sallies on the outside flanks, Stegadon in the middle, Chamelions going after guns, skink skirmishers out front messing will charges and harassing.

your slann is pretty top heavy, i would get him into a templeguard bus for stubborn. if something scary rushes the slann in a saurus block there is more of a chance of failing tests.

Good thinking, I can swap a unit of Saurus warriors for templeguard - thanks for the insight on that.

Any suggestions for trimming the fat off the Slann? The Dragonfly is there simply because I had the extra points.

your slann is already pretty lean, through the past games i have narrowed mine down to this:

Slann
general
BSB
Knows the Lore
Free dice per spell
One enemy caster ignores 6s
Dispel Scroll

keep in mind i run lore of life.

Saurus Scar-Veteran; General; Hand Weapon; Great Weapon; Light Armour; Shield

I would suggest getting two Lvl 1 skink priests for a dispel scroll and the cube of darkness. That should shut your enemy's magic down. Depending on your enemy you can gauge when to use the cube.
