You know this is the favorite week of the Space Sharks / Carcharodons Marine chapters.

With FW putting out all those nifty old versions of marine armor and gear as well as the transfer sheet its hard for me to not get some and make a mixed gear army of them.

What are you thoughts on the matter?

I think if you've got the money and painting ability, go for it. They've got awesome fluff, a cool paint scheme, and an awesome character with Tyberos. Their rules are solid too.

I just got Tyberos in a few days ago. I can't help but call them anything but Space Sharks. They're just so Jawesome.

If I had more money I'd get all the cool FW stuff for them, but I think a good lick of grey paint should do it.

Are the Space Sharks and Carcharodons the same chapter? The wikis seem unsure about it.

Yes, the fluff justification is that "Space Sharks" is the low Gothic way of saying it. Carcharodons is how they refer to themselves.

The chapter's full name is "Carcharodon Astra" which in low gothic would be "Space Shark".

Imperial Armour Vol. 10 even says something along the lines of "They called themselves Carcharodon Astra (or Space Sharks to give their name a more modern rendition in Low Gothic)."

I've been tempted myself, I say yes, and post pictures if you do.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?
