alright so i have decided to get a new 40k army but im not sure what i should get my budget for now is around $200 to start it off any suggestions ?

You can't honestly expect to get anything of result here unless you give us some vague idea of what armies you already have, what armies you like the aesthetic of, how much you like painting, what kind of playstyle you're looking for, or, well, anything about you. As is, you're going to get no responses better than "Dark Eldar" or "Space Marines" with no further content.

i have played space wolves, tyranids, space marines and i had a small demon army at one point and they didnt really apeal to me i loved nids but they got old quick and the new codex ruined my playstyle there happy brother srm

I would be happier if you used proper spelling and grammar, but honestly this is the kind of info you need to give out in the first post. If you don't someone might suggest Space Wolves while you yourself have already played them, wasting both yours and the other poster's time.

If you like painting, the Dark Eldar have really nice models, and they don't play like any of the other armies you've listed.

Which model range do you like the best of the armies you have not done yet? I think that'd be a good place to start looking.

Fight for the Tau! The models are great looking and fun to paint. Plus the shooting is great. They play a lot different then the armies you mentioned. I'd also wait for the Necrons to be redone as well. They are highly unique in the 40k universe. Painting them is easy and they should be competitive agian when their new codex comes out. wait and get some more dough and pick up 2 of their battleforces when they get redone and you should have a good start of them being a brand new army.

Eldar

I partly agree with Spartan 117 about going T'au, they were my first army and I loved them. Very easy to paint and model(Kroot are a bit harder to paint, though), I personally love the background and the battlesuits, but until they get their new codex you will lose most of your games and maybe pull some ties. My recommendation would be an Ork army, their background is hilarious, you get a lot of models to build and paint, and they are a very strong army. They are currently the newest army in my collection. I would suggest a few battleforces, and a Warboss wouldn't hurt either, considering its mandatory. Footslogging is the way to go, except a small squad of 'Ard Shootas in one of the Trukks to add a fast aspect along with the Bikes.
