Right, i purposely left 300pts out of my 2000pts tournement list, because, i couldnt decide wether to use Logan or Njal ... or neither

Ive ran them both and Njals ''every turn abilities'' really nark people, and Logans ''Give a unit a rule'' and ''Extra Attack'' rules, (sorry, forgot their names ) tend to turn the tide of a game, but still, looking at Ragnar Blackmane and the others, who would be the best named HQ choice?

That entirely depends on the composition of the rest of your army. Do you have a lot of Wolf Guard that Logan would make into troops? Can Njal accomplish what two Rune Priests with Living Lightning couldn't?

if in doubt roll a D6.butthe head honcho is the best place to start.Logan Grimnar is a fighty leader.Njal is a good support.Canis is the most wolfy.

I have a 5 man Terminator Unit he could turn in to Troops, but im looking at Ragnar, and putting him in a 10 man Blood Claw unit would be SCARY!?

His Furios Charge rule, would balance out their WS3.

i think an extra attack would help alot so you should use logan

Remember as space wolves you can take 2 for 1.Consider dropping a surplus unit forthe other HQ.

For one thing; that's not the case, for another, that'd be similar for most sites and finally, you say that and ask for advice?

Njal's often helpful just for his swiss army knife-like abilities in that he can fulfil any role.
Ragnar would be better with Wolf Guard or Grey Hunters as Blood Claws benefit significantly less from his +D3 attacks on the charge. Logan on the other hand could confer preferred enemy.
Logan's very expensive, however he may just be worth it as a result of his variety of abilities.

Then again, each all ultimately depends on the list...

I usually run Logan in a unit of Wolf Guard, 2 Claws, 2 Fists and a Frost Blade, so everyone still has their Storm Bolters, and he really helps them chew through a unit

That sounds reasonable (in a vacuum), then again Ragnar would be even more deadly (due to +D3 attacks and furious charge), but if you need the extra scoring unit then Logan's the better option IMHO.

We really do need a complete list.
