So I'm sitting on a pile of Necro pit slaves mostly because I just love the models. I've been thinking of turning them into Ogryn using the Terminator base size and the building them up by standing on a pile of scrap.

Would anyone see an issue with it?

I dunno, they seem a little weedy for Ogryn but I'd definitely buy them for Penal Legion. Maybe putting 2 on a base could work, but that seems a little hokey. The models are definitely cool in the way that only early-mid 90s GW models are though.

2 on a base, that's not a bad idea.

I'm mainly thinking of them for apoc as 'crew' for my Leviathan to guard it from assualters.

Course then I could make them all Archeoflags... but they don't have guns...

If you build their height up a bit (which you said that you were going to do), then I wouldn't see any problem with doing this.

Yes they could work as Arco-Flaggelants, just cut off the guns. Yeah on the Penal Legion, just less of the shears and buzz saws. Ogryns?...Meh, maybe. As you said, if your going to bulk them up to hell with scrap, mount them on a stacked up base and find something suffient for the ripper gun then....maybe. The scale's just a bit too far out though. Sure people have used the power armoured trooper from Incursion as Ogryns, but scrap clad brutes probably would be more similar to vets with carapace armour (unless the model was twice as big and inevitably 90% junk). =/

Considering they get rending 1/3 of the time, it occasionally works!
