Well, you gonna have a list with 6 Landraiders. I remember that Stelek played a DH list with 7 Landraiders or so.
The inherent weakness of the list is the ancient LR itself as its machine spirit is not comparable to that of the loyal LRs. In fact, you have 12 tl lascannon shots in first turn when you don't move. But when you move them you'll have a 'problem'.

Mission 2: Objectives.

Massacre : Win by 5 or more

You have: 2 Troops

So you play for the middle (4) and either your own (1) or a side objective (2), and hope to contest the other 3? So before you even play your opponent knows your only chance of winning right off the bat. If he manages to destroy one of your squads, already you cannot massacre.

Think about that.... Ard Boyz is designed to play to mission specs.

I don't know if Chaos Land Raider spam works, in part down to what wuestenfux said about the lack of POTMS.
I know you have 6 AV14 targets, and even if your opponents doesn't have enough fire power to stop a couple from moving/firing etc or worse in the first turn, you just don't have enough anti-tank to deal with a potentially large number of targets (Immagine going against BA, with 6 Preds and 6 Razorbacks, which i assume fits into 2500 points, or Wolves with 9 Razorbacks, 15 MLs, IG with 3 Manticores and lots of meltas etc etc.)

One advantage you have, is Abaddon will annihilate people in combat, but his land Raider will be number one priority. Typhus just isn't all that scary because he lacks eternal warriors. And those Terminators will soon fall down to mass infantry/fire.

Against some armies, this could be a very tough list for them to beat, but overal i think its weaknesses just outweigh the advantages.
If you want to stick with 6 Land Raiders, i would drop Typhus, have minimum Combi-melta/HF Terminators (probably deep striking, although you could keep them in the raiders) then bump up the troops. By my reckoning (this could be all wrong, i don't have my dex with me to check points) dropping 2 Terminators, all the upgrades bar the 2 combi-meltas, and Typhus leaves you at 2060 (if you had the full 2500 points. You could then drop the 150 points of marines, get two squads of 8 Zerkers with PFs, 4 more combi-meltas, 3 Heavy Flamers, and then a cheap CSM/Plague squad with (at my probably in accurate points calculation) 119 points left.

(or go with Plagues in the Land Raiders for tough units, rather than killy units.)

I like LR spams, there fun to play. But these days people build heavy anti mech. Lots of melta and lance weapons. You may have 12 TL las, but a standard IG list has 9 in the fast attack alone, DE run 9 DL in there heavy. My point is don’t fixate on the number of big guns you have, as its not really that many.

If you are going to make this list work you need to look in to being able to isolate your opponents anti mech. And in most cases its not going to be issue of just blowing them up first turn. DS melta, turbo boosting speeders, str 10 ordinance, SW scouts… ext ext ext. my point is since the rise of IG mech, it has been a staple of every list to have some dirty trick to eat heavy armor. Your opponent only needs to choose there target designation well.

Looking at it from an ard’boys point of view, you already give up one of the scenarios. Your opponent will only need to kill 12 modals to take you out of the game. This should be enough for you to take a 2ed look at your list, in most venues this is going to knock you out of first.

On the kill point missions you are going to find vs. most other lists 12 Las just wont be enough.

Will people have trouble with your list….yes, of course they will it’s a list full of AV14 and termys. But I don’t feel you will be able to score a massacre on any one, you just don’t have the volume of fire to do it.
