As the topic says Im curious if GW has officially ended prize support for independent events. I've been told that there is no more prize support and if any store owner / TO has information regarding this being true or false that would be most appreciated. Also, if you do get prize support.. How much or is it tiered?

I'm not a TO or store owner but I hit up a lot of events. Independent stores, depending on their level, generally get a certain amount of support per quarter. I think that officially sanctioned GT's get like $300 in gift certificates basically.

Granted the above is just based on conversations with TO's/Store Owners and attending events.

Stores still get support from GW, as of about 2pm on last saturday.) I sat in on a seminar for new stores signing up with to be GW stockists and help answer questions. Andre Keiran and Chris Woodworth from trade sales went over the program.

Stockist level stores get 150.00 in support per quarter
Partner level stores get 150.00 per month.

This can be used as prize support, scenery for the stores, paint and models for painting classes, or just about anything else a store wants to use it for.

Nice. That would be weak and incredibly stupid if they stopped supporting store events.

GW is extremely good at supporting independant stores, they won't stop prize support anytime soon

Our store gets it and gives it all out to the players for the tournaments. It is a good program. It helps increase the prize support for more than just the entry fee for tournaments in case you have low turnout. Some stores though have different policies on prize support for tournaments.
