If the ordo malleus inquisitor takes terminator armor he also gets a nemesis daemon hammer. The inquisitor can also be upgrade to a psyker, "exchanging any on weapon for a force sword." Can the inquisitor keep the daemon hammer? The wording for the psyker upgrade seems to mandate that the hammer be exchanged for a force sword.

The hammer has to go if you want the force sword.

What if you want to keep the hammer (which is also a force weapon)?

You HAVE to have a sword. This means you MUST swap a weapon, which could be the Storm Bolter

Check the FAQ, they made the swap of any one weapon an option.

Page 87 – Ordo Malleus, Hereticus and Xenos Inquisitors, Options, last bullet point Change to “[...]psychic power. He may exchange any one weapon for a force sword[...]”

So you could have a Force Sword and attack at I or a Thunder Hammer and deal the hurt, either both together or either with the SB.

^^This. Pre-FAQ, you were required to drop a weapon for a force sword if you wanted to be a psyker, but they changed the wording in the FAQ to a "may exchange" rather than "exchange."
