Just trying to get a consensus of 40k players on Dakka that play both 40k and WHFB. I play both as I just started WHFB earlier in the summer. On a side note I have seen that most 40k players that play only 40k tend to have multiple 40k armies but have never wanted / got into WHFB.

For those that have played both systems, which rules in WHFB would you like to see integrated into 40k at some point. For me it definitely is rolling terrain at the beginning of the game. I think it pretty much will always allow for every game that you play of WHFB to be different. In 40k it tends to be similar. Also I would like to see more scenarios and types of missions that are in WHFB find a way to 40k some way or some sort. Such as the watchtower / keep one where you have to take the Watchtower that is placed in the center of the map.

Dark Angels 9500 Pts
Steel Legion IG 3500 Pts
Orks 2000 Pts
High Elves 2500 Pts

I tried to get into WHFB but it didn't really stick for me. Conversely, anyone want a bunch of Warriors of Chaos?

I do have several 40K armies, but with the release of the new WHFB edition and starter box my wife and I decided to give it a go. So far we have played one game and really aren't too sure on most ofthe rules. Still seems cool to me though, maybe someday I'll learn how to play more.

I started with Fantasy, switched over to 40k several years ago during the whole Vampire/Daemon/Dark Elf fiasco that ruined the game, and haven't been back since. Fantasy really doesn't have any appeal anymore for me, its a pity, a lot of the newer models are great, but whenever I think about playing it again I just lose all motivation.

Sometimes, you just gotta take something cause the model is freakin cool...

I started fantasy some time ago, unfortunately the fantasy community in the area seems rather small (or I haven't yet found it) so I've got a grand total of 2 games in 6 years :(

Which is a shame, because I find myself liking the Fantasy setting more and more and the 40k setting less and less.

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.
