I really like your Ultras. Reminds me a lot of mid 90's GW painting. I'm not a huge fan of some highlights (like those on the shoulderpad interiors) going all the way up to white, as that melds into the white trim, but your color scheme and quality of painting are both very good.

Cheers guys, I do use wash for complicated parts such as faces, hair, armor e.t.c. I agree about the highlights being too bright on some models which is why I want to sell these and start a new army. Maybe with conversions, need to know how to use green stuff first

The Ultramarines are very nice. I particularly liked the yellow weapons on the assault squad as it's not a color you often see on marine weapons.

Each type of my squad have different colour weapons. Troops are white, fast attack orange/yellow and heavy green. The banners use to come with the models and are stickers. I will endenver to take some decent pictures

I like that you used the retro Ultramarines scheme, with yellow trim and weapons with colored casings

It was just that long ago these models were painted. It was an up to date paint scheme when I did them about 10-12 years ago.

They are absolutely gorgeous, not the most realistic of paint schemes but I think that's probably why I like them so much. The yellows are beautiful throughout, and I have to admit I actually quite like the highlights on the inside of the pads going up to white, seems in keeping with the overall scheme.
