The age old question (probably not)... if you were rolling a Blood Angels army then which HQ would you choose - Mephiston or Dante? If you already roll a Blood Angels army, would you mind explaining why you chose one over the other? If you have chosen another BA HQ, why did you choose him?

Personally I'm planning on going with Dante mostly because I love the idea of having Sanguinary Guard as troop choices, however I am not sold on the idea.

That entirely depends on what kind of army you're running, you can't just compare units in a vacuum.

Choose an HQ to fit your army not the other way around

I guess it was sort of implied in the reasoning aspect of my question that you would include a notion of what kind of army you would roll along with your HQ. I don't have an army in mind in particular at the moment. I'm asking you to be creative.

Well if your running DoA then Dante is a good idea because of Sanguinary Guard and being able to drop a squad with pinpoint accuracy. Other lists he would be less effective though. Mephiston is simply a beast, literally a man sized monstrous creature with psykic powers. He fits in just about every list.

I ran DoA mix for a while. Had a few tanks on the ground with devestators maybe an assault squad then my main army drops in on the weakened army. Now I'm making a stormraven based list with Mephiston and furioso in one and and death company and dread in the other.
