The model in question:

Does anyone have experience with this model? The head is connected to the body in one piece, right?
I want to use this as a conversion, but removing the head worries me. Should I use a dremel and take it slow? Or does anyone have a better solution?

Do you want to extract the ehad to use or do you want to get it out so you can put another head in there? If the latter then you will have to do it quite delicately. You should use a sharp hobby knife on the resin model. It would be a mission on the metal one.

I can see it working on the Finecast model - but on the metal one? The main problem there would be extracting the head, without ruining the detail on the "hood" on the back of the head.

As always, enjoy and have fun!

To remove the head (and replace it with something else) on the metal one involves drilling several successively larger holes into the face of the model.

The finecast one will be easier, but the same method will also work.

Sadly he's not available in Finecast :/

I may just get Captain Stern to use for my conversion, since he is in Finecast now. Thanks guys.
