First: Please use proper punctuation and grammar.
Second: If you like the way they look, go for it.

You're going to have... difficulty as they been pretty much stripped off of all the shelves everywhere. Secondhand will of course still be viable but most stores are going to leave you unhappy I fear :/

IMHO I would wait until they get a new codex, and then start them.

I think they are getting new sculpts. Almost like their whole range is practically being redone. I'd wait to spend the money on them for a bit.

I'd wait till the new 'dex is out. Personally I've been holding out expanding my army till I know what the changes are like.

Go for it. If you like the models and fluff, then the rules changes will not matter too much. Don't buy an entire army now, but getting started on some core squads so you can field a small game on release day of the new codex is how I would handle it.

CG has it right. If you can find some new or used ones now, pick them up on the sly. When the new Codex comes out, you'll be able to give them a little dance and see if you like how they move. If so, you're ahead of the game. If not, you can recoup your losses by selling them on or trading them to those who didn't have your foresight.

Get some for dirt cheap on eBay, but just get plastic models since those probably won't be replaced when the new codex comes out.

Same here, though the lure of new Destroyers keeps tempting me...lol

I keep hearing they're getting a Dark Eldar like overhaul. Be that the case, I'd hold off. Maybe a box of Warriors or something to keep you going, because those probably aren't going to change.

I've heard almost the whole range will be remodeled like they did with the Dark Eldar so I'd wait a bit to get them until the new codex comes out.

I've debated starting to paint some destroyers myself. Mainly because they look so cool. Even with new models, as long as they give the squad weapon options, I'd probably just stick with the old model for that unit.

I'd wait for the new codex. Apparently Necrons should be coming out this year, if not definitely early next year. And from the rumours, it seems like it's worth waiting for the new codex - particularly as many units seem to be having a revamp.

If you want to collect them but don't want to shell out major $$$ for what...

and have some spare GW sprue around, along with a bunch of time...

SPRUECRONS!

Imagine the feeling when you position your tanks, engines idling, landing gear deployed for a low profile, with firing solutions along a key bottleneck. Then some fether lands a dreadnought behind them in a giant heat shielded coke can.

(Not my army, but one I've seen online)

Plus, they're 100% GW models/material!

They also look much better with the green sprue barrel thingy, and a mettallic paintjob.

I did something like that with 1 inch of pvc pipe to make killa kans. Tourney legal too, because that is technically GW material!!
