Hey Dakka,

As it seems more than half of this website is, am sick of WoW. I am looking for something else, i don't mind paying because frankly, if it sucks the 15 bucks to try something out isn't a big deal. Ive played rift and thought it was trash (no offesne) and am mainly waiting for SWToR to come out. Until that date i was considering WAR again. Anyone 1) still play it? 2) has it changed at all..i remember it being a tad sloppy in the beginning but im willing to give it another shot. Let me know what you guys think and maybe provide me with a better option. Again, free is not always better hence why i pay 60 bucks on 1 little plastic figure so let me know what dakka thinks.

P.S Global agenda is not an mmo, its a joke of a game where running around shooting in a condesed area against npc mobs is a dungeon.

Not many people play it any more. It's down to just 6 servers.

Mythic's last official announcement was that they still had 300,000 players, but that was several years ago.

They also haven't released any significant new content in years.

Didn't help what with that money glitch where if you stopped playing and started playing again after three months it charged you for those three months you didn't play....

There is a lot of problem with the system , giving authentication errors and what not
PS: Global agenda IS an mmo, apparently you never got far enough to the PVP content or have a competent dungeon/mission experience

I tried the demo/trial account thingy for warhammer and I just didn't like it. Graphics seemed suckier than WOW, and overall it just wasn't fun to play. I wanted to like it, but it just wasn't fun :(

Try Everquest 2, if you want a very immersive and large scale world MMO. It's got more classes, the graphics are better, and the community tends to be much better.

Like i said, ive played most MMO's including evercrack. Im not a huge fan, the combat is a little wierd and as good as the graphics are they look kinda lame imo. Its a little too immersive as well, I got WAR when it released and liked the concept but like you said, was a weak graphics engine. I just wanted to see if it was worth going back to, since i havent played it in roughly a year didint know if they made it better. As it seems it will fizzle out in a year or so unless some dramatic changes are made.

SWToR/Guild Wars 2 seem like the way to go, until they comes out it looks like my xbox will keep me busy with BF3, GoW3, and Mass Effect 3. I would mention CoD but IMO!!!! it blows donkey d*** and idk how people play it. If you guys wanna make fun of CoD or have any better MMO ideas let me know.

See I thought it looked better then WoW, but agree, it was very....bland and boring to me. I tried for a couple days to see if something sparked but it never did.

I'm not sure. maybe it was my server, but WAR had the best community I've seen in any game. People would randomly walk up to me and hand me equipment, because they couldn't use it and I could. Among other things.

I thought the art style was cool, if a little too WoW-ish, but I just couldn't forgive the Lore Breaks and the imbalances between Order and Destruction.
