I just heard that our beloved "nuns with guns" get an update in White Dwarf 380 from August 1'st 2011. Few things:
-Does that mean that they won't get an codex, yet?
-Does anyone have any details? Because I heard who is writing the updates and I get into RAGE...

There's some other threads about this already, but I believe it's a sort of "teaser" for the upcoming codex or, as some have said, it's Part 1 of a 2-part WD Codex.
As I don't read WD or play much table-top, I don't pay a lot of attention to that, but I am hoping they come out with some new/better models for the SOBs.

The new 'dex is split into 2 WD issues, august and september.
Yes, it means we're not getting a real codex, also, no new models.
As far as details, we don't have points, FOC, or wargear info yet, just fluffy junk. Most SoB veterans are not happy with it so far (myself included), but there could be a huge turn-around when the second half is released. The Thread on it in the News and Rumors section was recently closed, not too hard to find.

Looks like they're in the same boat Blood Angels were a few years back. Which means come 2013 or so, it's going to be time to start dancing in the streets.

Some folks are still holding out hope for a plastic sisters box next month, but I'm pretty resigned to us not getting any new models this time out. If we did, I'd consider it the worst possible scenario, since it would very likely mean we aren't getting the 'full' treatment (a la Dark Eldar, which the army realistically needs to be commercially successful), and that this White Dwarf Codex is not a temporary measure.
