So for those of you who don't listen to the Independent Characters Podcast (http://theindependentcharacters.com/blog/), I just finished running a Finecast Model contest on their show. The Rules? Send in why you wanted to win a Painted HQ Finecast Model. Easy! Well the winner was a gentleman who wanted the model, not for himself, but for his neighbor as a final incentive to get him into the gaming scene. Seems his buddy had a full Ultramarines army and no idea of the game. So rather than just a single model, he pitched a little money and upgraded to...













I wanted to spend a little more time on these models, but even doing them in the same style as a commission, I'm extremely happy with their results. I'm sure the winner will be extremely happy with them too! As usual, C&C is appreciated guys!

amazing, only thing I would like to point out is the gold, All i can see is gold, needs a little more shades or highlights.

Some of the highlight looks like light reflection from the camera or lightning, unless you tell me otherwise that the gold actully do have some highlights.

Well done. The blue is smooth and the subtle highlights make the piece have some good depth. The flag is really well painted as well. The only thing I have to say that is slightly negative is that the gold around the helmet looks a little sloppy. But overall it looks great.
