Just to take a quick survey

How many of you have tried the new finecast models?
And out of all of you has anyone had problem gluing them?

I have two models of finecast:
IG Lord Commisar
BA Commander Dante

And on both I used what I normaly use with plastic, plastic glue
but it doesn't stick good.. I could seperate the piece a few minute after
I glued them no problem.

Are you using plastic glue or super glue on finecast?
I use Humbrol poly cement as my plastic glue and it used to work like a charm with plastic.

Any tips anyone?

Plastic glue will not work on Finecast resin or any other kind of resin. Basically plastic glue "melts" the plastic either side of where it is applied to form the bond.

Superglue is your best option for resin pieces. Particularly heavy pieces can be glued using a two part epoxy if need be.

Don't use GW superglue either - it's way over-priced.
Also, to get the best join, carefully scrape away the top surface of the area to be glued to ensure there's no mould release agent left.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I have a Hive Tyrant and Urien Rakarth.

Never had a problem glueing them, but there really nice quality and i din't have any miscast.

Bought a Hive Guard model, but i couldn't stand it as the paint wouldn't cover it very well... so i gave up and sold it on

Me personally I use Krazy Glue to glue all my blisters. Its cheap and works great!
