don't think, you have to know it if you want to be a commander
2010-> IG losses:5, draws: 1, wins: a really lot of wins
2011 IG losses: 2, draws: 1 wins: 32
2012 losses: 8, draws: 0 wins: 15

Well, I'd hesitate to advertise a GT list. No question, its a good list. But players usually play the same list in different ways. Its not an no-brainer.

Well, i was thinking about this: remove the 3th platoon squad, and add a Master of the Ordenance and an Officer of the Fleet to my CCS... could work i think

Feels weird to not have power weapons or melta bombs in the blob. Really almost defeats the purpose.

You only have two Chimera and several other lone vehicles making choices easier for your opponent on what he decides what he is more concerned about and how to kill it.

Yes, the colossus is fine and dandy... when it hits. Even if it uses direct fire, it still can scatter... your just knocking 3" off of the scatter now. Still an open topped vehicle and a blob around it doesn't give it a cover save from other vehicles. If your making it indirect, your wasting the ACs on the blob... then a HWS is a better choice for those 3 ACs.

In the end of the day, your making a copy of a GT list, or at least an interpitation of a successful one. But it has been mentioned that having a good list doesn't mean you will play it the same way, or have the same luck as the guy who got into the top 10 in a GT. You claim to be 15-0 playing IG this year, then use your undefeated list.

well, i could remove the lascannon from my vets and give my commissar a powersword and MB and one searg a MB...

i have 8 tanks on the field, i see no problems with that.

1 hit is enough to defend my other vehicles, and so, i put him in cover with defenately no LOS, so only barrage weapons will hit him. and otherwise, who cares? he will have always a 4+ coversave

and i will only make my own lists... i hate it to make copies of others people lists.
and for the 15-0, i am playing guard battles at 1000, 1500 and 1750, so no standard list

Commissars in the blobs can not have melta bombs, only the sergeants.

Chimeras are not tanks.

You only get the cover save if over 50% of your vehicle is blocked from line of sight. Indirect fire on vehicles is a waste of shots due to the marker rules. With deep striking and outflanking, your being foolish to think your vehicle will be totally safe and untouchable. You also can not garentee that the cover will be there in tournys either.

and this one is based on the G.T. top 10

and i will only make my own lists... i hate it to make copies of others people lists.

Your words, not mine. Based, inspired, copied... all the same thing.

Yeh oke, your right... But what i meaned to say is that i try to take out that lists, but i will always write my own lists...
So then we come to my question, should i remove 1 platoon squad and take master and officer...

I think what he sounds like he means is: "The top 10 were these types of armies, I am designing an army to kill these armies."
Not: "I am copying a top 10 list"

Initial thoughts are don't put a lascannon in a chimera. You want the chimera to move every turn - even if only 6".

It would be nice to see some pwr wpns in that blob squad for when they get into CC.

Not a massive fan of vets in vendettas. Due to it's lascannons it is basically an immobile gun platform, while for moving and shooting the valkyrie is better. I would be tempted to go for 2 vendettas empty and get some more chimeras for the vets.

I do like the colossus for anti-SM, but you do need to protect it as it does have that 24" min range.

1. for the lascannon, i had 20 points left...
2. not a big fan of power weapons. oke, i know i can have 9 pw attacks, but it is half hit, lets say 5, and maybe 1 or 2 kills... if i want PW then i will a powerblob at least of 31 man.
3. yes, they are my gunboats with a scoring unit within. if tanks are comming to close, i will blow them with melta, or in objective games flat out move in the last turn to a objective.
4. thats the plasma CCS and plasma-vets. stay within 4 inch of the colossus and let them come. MOO with long range, AND the lascannon.

If you want a scoring unit to just sit in a vendetta doing nothing, then better to get another basic infantry squad than a unit of melta vets. Generally they sit in the vendetta and do nothing, or if it explodes they tend to die in the explosion.
