Dear DakkaDakka,

I would love to see a forum topic in WH40K where newbies like me can ask what looks like stupid questions but are really asked because we haven't played enough games yet. The other forum topics seem to be too serious for asking what seasoned players would think of as a no brainer.

Nah, you can ask whatever you want. Most of the people here are happy to help out someone newer to the hobby.

If someone gives you a hassle just report them to a moderator for swift justice.

What are you meaning by "stupid questions", Necron99?

If you want tactical advice, just go on and ask it in the Tactics forum(or click Monster Rain's link in his signature for the "Necron Tactica") or use the newly improved Search function to see if it's been asked beforehand. Be warned, however, that if the thread is a few months old it might be frowned upon for thread necromancy.

The easiest questions are solved by reading up the FAQs found on GW's website, and a thorough reading of the rulebook; if you still haven't found your answer after that, then the question was either not as stupid as you first thought, or you missed the answer somewhere tucked away (or even out in the open, we all have our brainfart moments).

Also, like Kanluwen said, try forum searches before posting the question.

If you're as pro-active as possible when trying to find your answer, then more people will be likely to help you; YMDC and other forums are not an excuse to not read your codex or the rulebook, and are definately not substitutes for them.
