This is Catalysts game Labs new game. The new box set was SUPPOSED to be at gencon but there was a screw up at the factory and it wont be available for a few more months. All that aside this game looks amazng and I will be picking up the new box set when it is released.

For 79.99 it will be totally worth it. Includes

2 rulebooks to transition players from the quick-start rules to the core rules
8 high-quality, 1200-scale plastic ship miniatures
12 Ship Cards
12 full-color Recognition Cards
1 Leviathans Gazetteer universe primer
2 fiction novellas
2 18” x 22” board-game quality maps
10 custom D12 dice and 2D6
2 reference cards
Leviathans recognition poster
Sheet of faction/ship crests
Template game aides (die cut cardboard counters)

Pictures from gencon (not taken by me)

As always Catalyst is great about having free products to get you interest up. You can DL free pdf's that come with basic rules and cutouts to play a few games with.

Anyway has anyone else been following this? Im pretty excited about it.

Wow! I remember Catalyst saying they'd be 'lightly painted' - but they seem great right out of the box.

This is definitely going on my radar.

I have a full set of fleets, and will be running Demos in the Boston, Mass, area. Shots, explanations, amusement from GenCon is coming. Watch this Dakka!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here's a top-down shot of the two fleets. Destroyers, Cruisers, Battleships. French on the Left, Brits on the Right.

Oops, I just noticed I swapped the French and Brit destroyers.

Yes, it'll be around Xmas.

Regretfully, due to labeling Taiwan as a separate nation on a period-correct map (1910), the Chinese manufacturer refused to do the work, thus preventing Catalyst from releasing the game at GenCon, as planned. :(

Yes, there will be points. AND! If you go to their website, you can download the PDFs which contain the rules, and some counters to play the game.

Also: On their forums, they're beta testing point/build costs. So your voice can be heard.

Well, thats what they get for outsourcing...Im sure there are plenty of US printers who would have made them anything they want.
