I've bought an airbrush cleaning kit (britles and pokers) and it's really helped to get some gunk out I'd had difficulty getting to.
The issue now is that I've finally managed to pop off the end cap to get to the nozzel (took a little more force than I was comfortable with, but apparently thats normal with some airbrushes. Kind of like installing ram for the first time and wincing at how much pressure you need to put on the bugger) and I've realised how gunked up some of the parts have gotten. I've give it a bloody good cleaning (as I always did with the parts I could get to) but there's some little bits deeper in the brush that I can't shift with my cleaners and I don't want to push too much of the solvent airbrush cleaner I have through it incase it reacts badly with the brass core (Apparently the brass core can react really badly with thinks like amonia if exposed to enough of it/long enough).
So, I've been googling and come across the ultrasonic cleaners. They seem pretty cheap but I don't want to just up and buy one.
What do you guys think of them?
Do you have a brand you would recommend?
Thanks in advance Dakkanauts!

Painting with white is like taking three steps backward for every two forward.
I wish I could be of help on this topic. I myself need to invest in a sonic cleaner for my airbrush as well.

Ahh, well this video will be of more use to you than me then:
He recommends a specific brand and some cleaning fluids too but he's US based (I think he is any way) and I can't get the stuff he recommends over here unfortunately. Although, the first one I linked to does look pretty similiar, save the brand name.

I have this one. I defiantly did NOT pay 80 dollars for it. I think it was 30. It has heat which can be helpful, but only in a couple cycles it gets very warm. The agitation cycles range from 180 to 480 seconds. Using Simple Green I can change colors from black or red to white in 5 minutes. I also took a bottle of water effects from a gel state to it's original liquid form in about 20 minutes in it.
