Ok so I got my Liquid Gold (Old Gold) today in the mail and was wondering should I buy Vallejos Brush Cleaner or will White Spirits do the job for cleaning the brush?

Water will do just fine. If your brushes are in need of a deep cleaning, use The Masters Brush Cleaner.

DO NOT use water with liquid golds, they are alcohol based and will kill your brushes if used with water. any contact with water will cause the paint to rust. use the 96% pure alcohol that vallejo provides

My bad. I assumed we were talking about the Acrylics.

I will be getting some of the Alcohol based metallics myself - Can I use any alcohol for cleaning, or does it has to be a certain % to not damage the paints.
Also I'm a bit confused about the Vallejo labeling. They sell their alcohol based metallics under the liquid gold label, but also sell alcohol based metallics in their Model Color line - same size, names, even product codes - but still found under two seperate entries - does anyone have a clue, if these are the same paints, or is there a difference?
Cheers,
