In this video it is shown how to magnetize bases on necrons with a toy called 'Magz', and I know this tactic also works on vypers. I am wondering if it would work on larger vehicles such as the dark eldar raiders and ravagers. Being that they are much longer than vypers and destroyers I would worry that they would become tipsy. If they would hold up just fine for normal DE vehicles, do you think they would hold if the crew (driver and gunner) were made out of metal (old gunners from oop ravagers)? I have not worked much with rare earth magnets and thus can not judge for myself their strength.

Thanks

A buddy of mine uses Rare Earth magnets about 1/8" size. They hold his vehicles up pretty well. He probably saw the same tutorial you saw.

I use rare earth magnets. They are incredibly strong and can easily support the larger models. Here is my Talos holding its heavy base aloft by the magnet.

These are the brand of magnets I use. They come in hobby friendly sizes. A pack of 100 runs about $10. I picked up mine at my hobby shop. They are also available on-line.

Hope this helps.
