On how to paint faces into armor, I have an idea but would prefer to see it done before attempting it.
I tried to search on here...but clearly got no results. :(

That's freehand. Tell me, can you draw or paint figures? Because pulling that off would be solely based on that skill.

Violence is not the answer, but it's always a good guess.

No one has anything? I tried last night with some shoulder pads on practice models, I dunno how I feel about it though.

Go to your local art store and buy a micron pen, the thinnest one they have. Draw whatever you want on the model and then start your freehand. The effect in the picture is achieved by thin layers of orange built up in progressively finer lines.
