Great tutorial, but is it safe? I do truly love the idea though, but as I do not yet own static grass, as cannot try this, but when i do I will send you some pics!

Considering its powered by two AA batteries, it cant do much harm. It can give you a little shock, perhaps burn you a bit if you are not careful, but not more than that.
