So i was looking at my Blood Angels codex to figure my war gear options for my new death company and i got a little confused with the close combat weapons rule with them, they have the option of having a bolt gun or bolt pistol but always have a chain sword. Now if I choose a bolt gun over the bolt pistol, do i still get my extra attack for having 2 close combat weapons?

sorry if this question is obvious, I'm still very new to 40k

A boltgun is not a pistol or a CCW so if you pick the boltgun then they only have one CCW (the chainsword)

Bolt gun + CCW = no extra attack.

OTOH, since they have Relentless, they can shoot the bolter and still charge. Which is pretty cool.

Its because of relentless I'm swaying towards bolt gun but then again i don't know what's best for DC

For 315 pts, I run 9 DC with bolt pistols and power swords. They destroy anything they touch. Not saying it is the way you should go (to each his own), but it has worked out wonderfully for me.

I attach a Reclusiarch or a Chaplain as well, for the re-roll to hit, re-roll to wound. 36 power weapon attacks, re-rolling hits and re-rolling wounds has caught more than one of my opponents off guard.

This is tactics instead of YMDC, but if you're delivering them via assault vehicle consider pistol + CCW. Otherwise boltgun looks like the choice.

What the others said, taking the Boltgun means you'll never get the 2CCW bonus in a DC model.

The guy with a boltgun is therefore a prime candidate for carrying a Power Fist or Thunder Hammer.

You're given the option to replace the bolt pistol and/or chainsword with a Thunder Hammer. Since you're not taking a bolt pistol (you've opted for the bolter), then you can simply replace the Chainsword for a Thunder Hammer.

Rapid-fire in the shooting phase, assault with 3 Str. 8 attacks in the assault phase.

Yup. If you're giving any of the guys in the unit power fists or thunder hammers, you might as well swap their bolt pistols for bolters while you're at it, as you gain an extra shot and you're not losing anything.
