Um... It was a bit of trial and error of golds with silver highlights then organgy yellowy glazes

Yeah, well I just painted the sculpt as is, I was asked that he be painted blood angels

As Sanguinius they do seem out of place I agree, but the model is not necessarily supposed to be (although we all know he is) Sanguinius

i don't like the wings. the position looks to unnatural when you consider that sanguinius had actually mutated and grown wings, also the top of them looks like they are built onto a frame, where they should be a rounded area of feathers. if you think about it, if the inquisition had been around, sanguinius would have been screwed, "purge the alien, the *mutant*, the heretic."

absolutely stunning pain job though, i would love to see you use him as the sanguinor in a game

Looks great. I like that head he is holding out. Personally I think the blood on the sword is a little much, but overall the piece looks fantastic.
