some things that stuck out in my mind:
-borg personal shields
-c'tan
-borg self-repairing ships
-necron self-repairs ... selfs

Coolyo, weren't you the one who had the 'Let Me Google That For You' post a while back? Lol, check them out, they could give the Necrons a run.
In a fight? Borg. Almost all of the Necrons weapons are gauss tech. The Borg would adapt their energy shields to repel the gauss weaponry, and pick the Necrons apart piece by piece.
On the other hand, the Borg would find it very difficult to assimilate the Necrons. Technically possible, since they assimilate not only a race's biological, but technological distinctiveness as well. The Necrons also have the C'Tan going for them, and while the star gods could conceivably put down one Borg node, maybe even two, eventually the queen would adapt and figure out how to imprison/nullify/kill the C'Tan.
I think it would be an even match-up, with the Borg eventually winning at a substantial cost.
Who wins as far as inducing the most pants-crapping fear? Borg. The 'We are the Borg...' bit is one of the greatest villain moments in televised history. And it keeps getting scarier ever single time I hear it.
That is, of course, just my opinion.

i foresee close combat as being a massive problem for borg. they have superhuman strength, but pariahs would actually be useful for once! hah! warscythes cut through literally anything right? shields included?
c'tan, necron lords, pariahs, tomb spiders... whatever comes out in the next codex tee hee

Crons.
Teleport necrons aboard the org cubes while they slooooowly wake up (like the Enterprise lot keep doing every time they see one..) and have wraiths carve them up in their sleep, fading throught the walls and floor and WBBing whenever destroyed.
Endless swarms of scarabs eating the cables
PAriahs and lords warscything down everything in their way, Borg Queen included.
Hell, one borg queen gets taken down by coolant and a boot to the remaining metal bits, i think

You will be assimilated by the Borg
Without fail, the borg would win that fight.

Exactly how would the borg assimilate a Ctan?
Can't make a cyborg without any fleshy bits
I can see them trying to modify a Wraith too..
'Now attach the extra Borg bits...'

They just kill what they can not assimilate.
It must be twice as easy to Assimilate a necron given the machine like qualities.
and after assimilating millions of necron warriors, C'Tan would be blown apart.

Or, they can't assimilate necrons at all.
They might not be compatible, or the Necron programs might assimilate the Borg, even assuming that the Borg could get one pinned down long enough to assimilate it without it phasing out
As to blowing apart the ctan, you are seeming to assume that it's doing nothing in the mean time..
The dragon, for example, assuming it to be awake at the time...
'we're here to assimilate you'
'Off!'
*sound of the borg powering down...
The Deciever:
"prepare to be assimilated'
'fine'
"erm..ok..
* Borg teleport into a sun that was pretending to be a planet.*
'Kill that thing'
*borg fire at the other borg cubes and destroy them, thinking them to be necron vessels'
Not so easy, is it

We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Resistance is futile.
The Necron counters and the C'tan effects will work. Once.
After that?
The Borg assimilate the data gathered by their Hive Consciousness, and are now immune to these effects.
After that?
It's only a matter of time. Resistance is futile.

The Dragon would only need to tell the Borg Conciousness to turn off once, as all borg are linked If they are all shut down they ain't assimilating nothing..
Ok, so how about this one
The Dragon wakes, turns itself into a self-replicating, ,sentient ,everchanging software virus and uploads itself into the borg conciousness.. Compared to recent 40K fluff this is downright reasonable. Or it could just save itself the bother and upload the scrapcode
Last I looked, not being a rabid trekkie, they learn from anything that attacks them, and adapt their sheilds to counter the weapon used against them.
This does jack against the decievers illusions, as they aren't counterable by recycling your shields
The other Ctan-
Nightbringer teleports to each Borg Queen (if there's more than one? The fluff has gone back and forth on that) in turn, guts her/them and rips her soul out, ignoring the shields/forcefields/anything else they can throw up. - No more borg. If they kill his necrodermis he reforms and does it again while the ship they killed him on is treated to a small supernova as the real thing punches out from inside. If need be he can treknobabble that he's changing the frequency of his deathions to bypass their shields (if Picard can do it so can he, being that he is a god ), but as he can tell reality itself to sit down and shut up, i don't think he'd need to
Outsider- Makes contact with the Borg conciousness when they send him their standard 'resistance is futile' memo, and the borg conciousness collapses into insanity and coma from the brief mental contact with an insane god

A machine is not subject to illusions, as the illusions don't really exist. The Borg's one biological eye might "see" it, but their tech-eye won't, since the illusion isn't generating the same effects that a real object does. It's either massless, or shadowless or soundless or too-high-resolution, or generating no thermal signature, no bio-signs, or some other, similar sign that it's not real.

Um, maybe. They do keep back-ups for a reason. Machines don't go crazy. While the scraps of biological consciousness in a Borg might... we have no evidence that Borg are capable of insanity.

Maybe, maybe not. It is possible to create illusions for tech to see too. ECM creates sensor ghosts for example, or distorts the existing signal.
This is something that can re-order reality at will. I would imagine he can create a thermal signiature and a false mass reading pretty easily. We can do that these days with 21st century tech
The deciever has been doing this for 60000 years or so, so i'd imagine that by now he's got them good enough not to have any tell tales. Remember that in game we are assumed to be seeing enemy models not just with visuals from our own models, but also their sensors and orbital surveillance, and it still works just fine
AI's DO go crazy. It's a staple of Sci fi. See Data's brother for a good example The Borg Queen that tried to seduce Data isn't exactly playing with a full deck either...
To use a back up you need to be thinking logically that you need to run a back up Hard to do if you're convinced that everything's fine, or that the file labelled 'backup' is in fact the self destruct codes Automatically Appended Next Post: Now thatI think about it it's a lot like arguing over whether the Borg or Q would win. My bet's on Q
