I was just wondering if you guys think that there is a reasonably costing unit I.e not a deathstar or deathstar like unit that could take genestealers in Cc?

Wyches can do it, especially with FnP they should be better than Genestealers in cc.

purifiers with halbards, wyches are good choices
with boyz unless you have a ton of stealers they will pay for themselves rather easily
any 12 or 13 armored dread can tarpit them for a long time unless the tyranid player is very lucky.
really though, you dont want to fight them in cc, they have a 5+ and 4 toughness, shoot them.

Beastmaster squads can easily beast a same-cost Genestealer squads. 10 Genestealers is 140 points for which you can get 2 Beastmasters, 6 Khymera and 2 Razorwings (138 points).
Although why you'd go out of your way to CC a CC-only unit I don't know.
