I don't know why they don't make their presence felt very much but Ralpartha Europe are now selling Demonworld stuff. For anyone who doesn't know what Demonworld is it is 15mm fantasy with some of the best looking figures in that scale. From what I've seen the prices are roughly the same, which is good or bad, depends how you look at it. The other strange thing is that you have to buy the bases seperately, I suppose to keep costs down.

The prices are the same as what?

This feels more like an advertisement.. Or not a very useful rumor considering there are no links or much info

In other news, is there a reason to produce 15mm fantasy models? Im not aware of any current and supported fantasy games of that scale (Atleast any that ive seen.. anywhere)

You can pretty much play any fantasy game with these miniatures with minor adaptations, songs of blades and heroes and rpg's seem good candidates, I for one LOVE demonworld stuff and will pick up some of them after I make my 15mm scifi skirmish a bit more populated.

The game itself was pretty decent as well.

True, splintered light minis are par with the best fantasy 15mm on the market...THere is something about 15mm scale in fantasy that is very evocative to the old school charm almost lost in the 28mm market, hard to explain but I really like it and brings me back sweet memories.

Cause nothing looks better than two small scale armies slugging it out That and i really cant understand why most fantasy worlds say no why would that orc shaman be able to summon undead well why not ..WHY NOT haha 15mm fantasy and sci fi generally set no limits on what is in your army or where you can go with it

The only thing that is appealling to me for 15mm is the sheer number of models you can put on the table. Looking at doing some Romans v;s well, the rest of the world really in 15mm. Just the sheer scale of a very large army to fit on a 4x4 let alone a 4x6 table is staggering. That would be an ocean of red and bronze!!! Also, in 15mm fielding 5-10 Elephants and/ or camels suddenly becomes viable. I don't care what anyone says - elephants and camels are just freakin' cool in an army.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Fantasy aside but my latest 15mm scifi incursion is making me look at my 28mm under a total new prespective... for example my 28mm 16 hormagants now can be 16 tervis in 15mm Speaking of elephants, looking at my Lotr Mumak and my 15mm... ehehe damn funny thing.

And I'm only exploring 15mm skirmish, its like discovering miniatures all over again for me...

I wish I could get the locals interested in 15mm, I love the scale nd especially the GZG vehicles. But everyone is convinced they are harder to paint and lack character because they're more "zoomed out"

Its easier and faster to paint and as for character these little things are packed with charisma... If people around you don't like 15mm don't let that hold you back... Get some 15mm, its damn cheap in comparison with 28mm and then have fun painting it and playing some solo's. Who knows if you show them painted minis that you can convince them otherwise?
