My lord, even your prodigious skills can't make that model sexy for me! Don't get me wrong, you did a fine job, the model just doesn't float my boat :(

Looks like airbrush masking?

Winterdyne does it again! I am continually impressed by your work. The cape and the sword both look excellent. I like the weathering and darker tone of the armor as well. Makes it look like this GK isn't a pretty boy and is actually earning his paycheck.

Agreed, the cape and sword are brilliant!

Looks like you used an airbrush for the sword?

I have to say that I'm not a fan of the model. The pose of his left hand seems a little bit silly.

Great work on the paint job though!

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

If it wasn't for that kung-fu hand pose, the paintjob you put on this model almost makes me want to go out and buy it, only so I can fail horribly at trying to emulate what you did with it.

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

I like the kung-fu pose.

Seriously, though, the power sword is great! The reflective paint scheme is very well done. Gives me great hopes for the future of my own finecast models.

I actually quite like the model (odd hand pose aside). The sword is airbrushed (to try the technique and colour progression as much as anything), with the black on the front touched up by blending in a few layers of VMC black, as I didn't airbrush it heavily enough. I might put another few layers of very thin black on it. VMC black, btw is about the nicest black paint I've used. It layers incredibly smoothly.

I have to second this.
As ever, you've done a great job man and the sword, shield and cape in particular look great. However, I still can't get past the melting face or the storm bolter hand...

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."
