Hey everyone.

I just finished getting out of the Army (11 Years and out! Got fed up with it!) and am living on Galveston Island.

I'm looking for a fun, casual gaming group in the vicinity of the Island, to around the Southeast Side of Houston. I am more of a beer and chips player anymore, super plus would be somewhere we could drink a beer while we play (in the way the Emperor intended!).

I know that there is Asgard in Rice Village, but that is close to a 45min drive, and if something was closer that would be great. And I am not really a GW store kind of guy, as my Fantasy army has some "competitor" type models in it. Not whole units, but bits and character models.

I am rebooting the hobby for myself basically. I have 40k, Fantasy, Blood Bowl teams, Mordheim, and Warmachine. I want to get a British Household Cavalry force for Flames of War (and a NVA Vietnam too...), and am really willing to bite on Dystopian Wars.

If anyone has any kind of leads on good groups of gaming sorts then shoot me an email or comment here!

You might think to hit the Gamer catalog in conjunction with the store finder to get a good idea of what's around/who's around.

I'm down in victoria which is about 3 hours away. I know thats a bit of a distance but I wouldnt mind driving it every once in awhile for some 40k or dystopian wars.

I am fairly certain that Asgard is pretty active, and there is a group of guys around R&R Comics not to much further. I was just hoping to maybe catch some peeps around between here and there. Really I should just stop being lazy and make the drive!

I went full time Art student when I got up here MD doesn't recognize other states FF training programs and a degree is one of those 'life goals'.
