I purchased the first part of my army second hand. Due to the closing of a local game store I was able to pick up a large number of models for really cheap.

I am now attempting to assemble my first models and am wondering if fully assembling them will make painting them very difficult. I am following the instructions in the guide listed on the Games Workshop web page. I don't have a very steady hand and there is very little space between the arms, gun, and body. Any tips for making the painting easier?

On a boat, Trying not to die.

Assemble the body, then paint that. Assemble the arms/gun, paint it. Put in the glow-y rod, glue arms into joints. Painted!

Assemble everything but the glow rod, prime, airbrush silver, airbrush badab black, insert glow rod, ????, profit.

Well that sounds easier. Will I need to do anything to cover up the glue after gluing them in place or should it be pretty transparent if I keep a thin layer of super glue?

use PVA or elmers glue for the rods, super glue will cause it to cloud over white.

Thanks. That is something I didn't even think about.

You can have the glowy rods attached and spray paint the models silver, then dip them black//brown and paint the glow stick green/red/yellow etc if you'd like too. Bit harder, but everything is already assembled.
