I'm curious. I know Dakka has an autoban system. My question is, if enough users ignore someone, are they automatically banned?

Could you explain that a bit more please, sounds like your asking ... Are people banned if they don't reply to me?
EDIT, ah I think I get it now, you mean if enough people stick you on "Ignore" using the button?

Yes. If Little Johnny Drama Troll is placed on ignore by x number of Dakka members, is Little Johnny Drama Troll banned? The number is not important, I'm just curious if the concept is implemented.

I'd doubt it mostly because such a thing would quite broken in some cases. For example, if MrContributer spent years contributing to dakka and making it a better place but in one thread accidently posted a view point that enraged people to such an extent that they all ignored him, his account could be banned and none of his previous history taken into account.
What I might suggest, if its not already implemented is that if a user gets enough "Ignores" against his account then the Mod's are notified. Presumebly having that many ignores should alert the Mod's that the users conduct is questionable, and then it would be up to the Mod's as to whether a person should be banned. Using both our examples would mean that the Troll would get banned if deemed his posts are not contributing, whereas MrContributer would have his history taken into account and possibly just a warning given.

I don't believe so.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I like this idea...

Ignore count is not considered in any way whatsoever except the mods occasionally laughing at tables of the most ignored people. You cant trust user actions for anything automated related to punishment as it is too easy to exploit.

LOL. I like the idea of reporting a post to a MOD and being allowed a certain number of occurences. If it is inappropriate/offensive/Troll (whatever word you wish to use for things that should not happen in civil discourse), access can be removed after a certain # of posts like that.
