In some maps in army books (Chaos for sure, and im pretty sure Beasts) there's a northern region on the edge of the Chaos Wastes called Varg. I ask you Lorehounds, is there any information on this region in any books? I would like to base my new army in that region and make an Army book for them with fluff and pretty pictures but want to make sure i don't get called out somewhere.

That would be embarrassing...

I see it's in Norse and around other Norse-like cities, so I can only assume it has that kind of viking lore. You might want to look at the timelines in BRB and such for any references, but if there's something, it's likely to be one-off from white dwarf or somesuch. It's also along the coast, so expect boats/fishers/raiders.

You can never go wrong saying you're from [whatever] which is a village 20miles NE fo Varg. Then you can give them pointy hats and face paint if you want.

Well, while I don't know anything about the fluff of this "Varg" place in general, I can tell you that "varg" means "wolf" in Swedish. As such, I'd imagine that there'd be some kind of connection with wolves, what with the general geographical position and all.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

Cool thanks, that's what i kinda gathered too. I think this will work, Norse mythology needs Frost Giants afterall!
