So I have been hearing alot of noise concerning a Beastmen second wave coming up. Before this summer the word was that Beastmen would get their rares along with SOM. Since that didn't happen our prophets have now pushed the date to 'sometime this year'. Perhaps GW has figured out that 'those Beastmen players are so like the models they play with, that we only need to dangle a carrot to keep them going.'

But, what if... right!? If or when our rares come, and let's assume they'll look cool, would you want to actually field them more often?
I know alot of people are longing for these models (me too). But knowing myself I'm afraid that they will only be big lumps of plastic added to my to paint pile.

All the latest mega monsters have been supremely awesome. People used HPA because its stats are great and they would substitute a rolled-up sock in its place. Now it looks so cool I think people would use it even if it wasn't the greatest.

At the very least they would use them as giant stand-ins. Nothing wrong with that and GW doesn't care if they're selling models.

You could always go with a Banebeasts Gorgon. Pricey, but the model is fantastic.

But yeah, GW's latest mega monster models have been awesome. The Arachnorok, the Tomb Kings stuff, the Zombie Dragon/Terrorgeist. If they're anything to go by, the Beastmen monsters should be great.

I know for one I will not be taking any rares that get released just due to their insane point costs, now if a WD came along and made them cheaper to boot...then we would be cookin

I often wonder how they might go about making a Jabberslythe...? A 50X100mm base with nothing on it because it's apparently so ugly it would make gamers go insane???

Yeah, they'll sell a chariot base for three times the price calling it a Jabberslythe. Would you be surprised?

Maybe, but it would really depend on how the moddels look. Im not going to field a fugly moddel just to have a Ghorgon, I rather make one myself

Was never a fan of the Banebeasts Gorgon. The metal cap over the eye just looks terrible to me. Should have either sculpted the eye or left it an empty socket.

Anybody who field it is insane!

Actually a larger base 10x10mm, could give the jabber a leg up in the game... as a suicide bomber.
