Recently got a Russ box and a Knight Commander Pask (It was on discount and I like the model)
Though if I do put him on the Russ am I stuck with him every game? That would be troubling since I am gonna magnetize the weapons and several patterns dont work well with him.

I know you can do things like using a special character model as a regular character and so on, but this is rather different, since Pask is more of a vehicle upgrade.

If you are going to magnetize the weapons, why don't you magnetize him as well?

He's a tank commander, use him as a tank commander instead of as 'Pask'. Most of us wouldn't recognize him either way, and my Pask isn't foolish enough to stick his head out of the turret in combat. He stays buttoned up.

Because the way the model is designed, you can't.

Glue two nails to the top half of the turret then two magnets in the bottom part, front to back. Poof, you have a turret that can be taken apart.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the IG codex mandate that you MUST model Pask on the vehicle if you are taking him?

Noone has ever made me model Pask, as Pask is a smark cookie and doesnt want to get sniped.

That said however I always did something unique to the tank he was in to represent him. Usually a Daemon/Tyranid head or something to represent

No it doesn't state that you have to model pask but in tournaments that are WYSIWYG then you have to somehow denote he's there and since there is a model well...
I just used an old mordian sgt and sculpted him in. I also made all my turrents so they can break all the way down and my "Pask" is stuck in with some sticky takk that doesn't show during games. I just take him out when I'm done.

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.

And yet, he can't get out if his tank dies, like that stinkin' Marine tank commander(Chronus).

Uh, actually, it does. Check his entry in the unit descriptions - not the army list, the unit descriptions.

The forgeworld commissar has a flat bottom so you can use magnets to place him in turrets and counts as.

Easy to take out and you can put the hatch just set in on top if not in use.

That and the model looks awesome.
