I've been wondering for quite a while now, how many people play the same army? Which armys are rarely played? Wich are over-representet? Is there a GK spam going on?

Grey Knights, Tau , and Nids for me. I can say at my local scene that there is a pretty good mix of armies. Seems that Dark Eldar and Grey Knights may be played a bit more than other armies though.

Blood angels and nids for me, I like having two very different styled armies (with newer codecies, so I dont have crap design (eldar summary page is where?) or horrible non-existant rules (orks with G48!)

Marines, Orks, IG, and Chaos for me. I haven't touched my Space Wolves in a while so I'm not counting them.

I routinely play CSM's and Imperial Guard, however I also have 2000somethingpts worth of Eldar and Tau respectively, along with a small Tyranid army, some Witch Hunters and Grey Knights as well.

DE, IG, Tau, BT, Ork, and SM for me...in that order.

Sisters of Battle, mainly. Occasionally Eldar, Orks, Imperial Guard. Very rarely Chaos Space Marines, Tau, Tyranids. My mom plays my Space Marines.

I also have some Chaos Daemons that I don't even have the Codex for.

Just Tau.

I've taken my CSM out of the dust for a while, but I really dislike having to make a struggle to get into CC part of an army's agenda.

Tyranids, Eldar and Necrons.

I haven't played my Necrons in a while, but hopefully we will be getting that new release right around the corner.

Interesting..... Orks and IG are said to be numbering countless billions, so many people playing them makes sense. It's obviously what you encounter most in the 40k universe. But Space Marines don't rally fit into that logic....

Just Orks at the mo. Will be looking to get Imperial Guard, and perhaps Chaos if Legions does indeed turn up next year as some rumour suggests.

I play My Eldar most of the time but have recently been playing my Space marines alot To try and get them into a relatively Competitive force.

Also, I was quite Suprised When i saw that the majority of people play orks. At my FLGS theres on Ork player. One.

I think i didn't mention this yet, Im an ork player and my bro (who thinks his english is too lousy for this forum) plays Eldar.

CSM mainly , IG Renegates , small SW force and small Tau force , I only took them to be killed by Chaos

Started with Space Marines, picked up Plague Marines and finally Dark Eldar which is my main focus.
For the record, I did pick up DE for the new book but I wanted them for soooooooooo long before. I just refused to play with a gak book, metal Wyches and not having them sold at my GW.

Crimson fists and orks. I also have some ww1 French soldiers that I occasionally use as guardsmen.

I play GK, BA, and SM.

Lately it has been my GK's and BA's armies seeing the table. My SM's are getting rather boring with mech spam. The BA's are DOA with sanguinary guard, assault squads, and kitted out vanguard. The GK's are triple stormravens using strike squads, paladins, and "psycannon" dreadnoughts. Psyrifle dreads are overrated!

The whole everyone plays space marines thing isn't quite as bad when you look at this poll and realize that half the armies GW sells ARE space marines. Even if you were to use a dice to determine your what army you'll play, most people would probably end up with some kind of marine army.

Orks and BA (Technically Flesh Tearers, as BA are a bit effete) . I started in 2nd edition, so it seems sensible!

It becomes a problem when a third of the armies possibly to play are space marines.
