Hi, just wanted to say I've found what is in my opinion a great alternative model for the Grey Knights psyker. This was inspired by an earlier thread where someone suggested I do a Penal Legion psyker.

I used a Mantic Ghoul regiment (20 ghouls for £14, rather than 3 GW psykers for £8.20), and very simply cut off the pointy bits (the bones/nails that pierce the limbs, and the hanging clothing). I also shortened the fingers to make them less ghouly-graspy and more human. The whole conversion takes literally seconds. The great thing about Mantic stuff is that their heads and torsos and legs are separate from each other so many different poses can be made from the same components. I'm going to be painting an Inquisition "I" tattoo onto the tops of their heads, and sticking some tech bits from 40k sprues onto some of them. I'm rubbish at modelling so I'm not trying to do anything fantastic.

I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love the idea of Inquisitors releasing tattered demented psykers driven wild by their magicks from their arcane asylums, to wreck havoc against mankinds' foes (with Acolyte minder of course!).

That chap looks like he is gurning, but I really like the idea.

Should look good once he is 40K'd up a bit.

I'm sure I have some of these kicking about and will follow with interest.
