Anyone got any further info or pics of this/these?

Also they guard all of the shrines of the Imperium and are based on billions of additional sacred or shrine worlds, counted separately from the regular Imperial empire due to their forbidden status and the limitless number of saints and divine angels of past warriors and mammoth cathedral-castellum war vehicles ready to be unleashed via the activation of holy relics.

Sounds pretty much made-up. The Sisters do not have a presence at every shrine of the Imperium (lol). The Imperium doesn't even have billions of worlds, let alone shrine worlds.

There was a gigantic "cathedral-like" crawler in the WH Codex, but I think that was just a Capitol Imperialis.

Maybe soemthing similar to what the mobile HQ unit that was in the Warriors of Ultramar book when they were defending the planet against Tyranids.

I can't remember the details, only that it was a rolling ball of doom with cannons.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

Although it is fluff that the Sisters of battle defend shrine worlds, the quoted text is very wrong, the IoM is roughly at 1 million worlds, with only a small portion of those are shine worlds.

Maybe they mean an Ordinatus

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ordinatus

if one of these got into Ecclesiastical hands, Im sure they would church-ify it up a bit!

I don't think the Mechanacium would let the Ecclesiarchy get their filthy, non mechanical hands on an Ordinatus.

I've always been under the impression that if am imperial force needed super heavy support that had to contact there friendly local Imperial Guard Heavy Tank Company.

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

But, really, it comes down to the size of the steeple.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

But it have millions....

And I would imagine this sacred "war machine" is something that GW will present us with SoB 5'th edition codex...

The Emperor doesn't have a GKs unshakable faith in the Emperor which is....basically himself?

About a million, by most fluff sources, and shrinking.

Sacred cathedral-on-traqcks would be awesome. My orks will look one to use as a Wierd-tower

Aye, wasn't it "1 Marine for each Human world" or something?

The Sisters didn't even show up to defend the Cathedral of Bladen. I don't even want to know how many individual shrines to the Emperor just a single average Imperial world has...

As to the general idea of Superheavies for SoB - I'm a bit split. On one hand, the Sisters Militant are meant to be a highly mobile strike force, projecting the Ecclesiarchy's might wherever necessary but still relying on support from conventional troops (militias, PDF, IG, Navy) for larger operations. On the other, the idea of something like that cathedral crawler being the spearhead of a crusade is just awesome.

That said, there's room for storydriven exceptions in between a full yes/no, too. Just think about how the Order of the Sacred Rose first got their hands on that dozen Repressors...

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

And still shrinking.

The imperium is losing territory planet by planet, system by system. They do recover/discover some new ones along the way, but in general the IOM is shrinking.

Go check out the fluff section in the main rulebook if you don't believe me
