Having recently coming off a long affair in building an Ork army I wanted to paint somthing a little less grimy as well as play an army that I could be a bit more clever with other than ALL DA BOYZ GO D'ER. I've also always been intrigued by the space marine chapter that invoke some of the more "Medieval" imagry such as the Grey Kights or the Black Templar but after some thought I decieded to go with blood angels mostly because tha angelic imagry would be a nice contrast to the grungy industrial look of my orks and the gothic look from my necrons.

I'm mostly starting this blog for a bit of motivation as its nice to read feedback of anysort so that I know either where I need to improve or if by some will of the warp I'm doing an OK job, helps to give me goals to work towards ya know?

Now seeing as I'm a student don't expect much in the way of consistent updates and both time and funds will mostly bee taken up with ensuring I don't become a hobo, that being said I'm going to atleast show somthing to start things off with the first unit for my list a nice shiny helping of Sanguinary Guard

No-one biting? ah well, time to soldier on I guess. In terms of nameing and colouring the regular marines I've made some progress, with the successor chapter, named with both chapter logo and colour scheme!

for the chapter name I've decieded on "Labores Sanguine". The chapter symbol is meant to be a sun but with the main body replaced ith a cresent moon. The name stems from latin, Labores from what I can tell is the closest I can get to the word eclipse in latin (labores solis bieng latin for solar eclipse), and the sanguine part obviously stemming from the blood angels relation with the red humour. I'm rather pleased ith how this turned out, again if anyone has any suggestions or ideas I'm happy too hear them!

Liking the minty green on the guard wings!

Maybe a bit of green on the standard marines to tie them into the same chapter? cause at the mo they don't really click with each other.

I know standard Blood Angels are all different colours but all of them usually have some red on them to bring the whole army together! You could use green as your 'spot' colour.

Just a thought, anyway keep up the progress! Always good to see more of my favourite chapter!

Need more 's in my life!

Thanks! I was thinking that they would look a tad out of place, maybe if I put the green on the boltun casing? not sure if it'd work but atleast it'd be a nice contrast
