Hello

Does anyone know of any specific rules sets that cover the Thirty Years War period? I know of some "generic" rules that could be used for this period, but I'd like to try out some specific rules sets if they are available.

Thanks for your help!

Not sure what you mean by Generic, But a great rule set that seems to be the mainstay where I live is DBR (Renaissance Period-If spelled correctly)

The set I am looking at seriously is Field of Glory Reneisance. They have a specific "Codex" for that era its called Wars of Religion. It covers that time as well as the ECW time frame.

ECW has some specific rulebooks but they wouldn't work directly for the Thirty Years War.

FoGR plus their campaign book is probably the best thing.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

By far the best specific set is 'Father Tilly' and its many supplements and campaign guides.

I myself am using a Hail Caeser/Blackpowder conversion till Warlord Games release their 'Gustavus' supplement.
