How many times (per warmachine shot and per turn) can a Master Engineer use his ability on Warmachines? The rule seems to imply that if both cannon rolls (range and bounce) are misfires, for instance, you can reroll on both. Can the same engineer allow rerolls on multiple WM that he is within range of in a turn?

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

Once. See the Dwarf FAQ:
Page 38 – Artillery Master
Change to “Artillery Master: A Master Engineer within 3"
of a war machine is allowed to take a ‘Look Out Sir!’ roll as if
he was within 3" of a unit of five or more models. In addition,
one war machine that is within 3" of a Master Engineer
receives the following benefits:
• A Bolt Thrower may use his BS.
• A Grudge Thrower may re-roll the Artillery dice.
• A Cannon can re-roll the first artillery dice used.”

I suggest you don't believe anything posted by thedarkavenger unless confirmed by other regular posters here at Dakka. He has shown he is incapable of basic English comprehension.

Ahh! Of course, thanks. I think my Cannonball question was ACTUALLY in reference to the Rune of Forging, which allows rerolls on either misfire for a cannon. Any ideas there?

Hmmm, let me rethink that.
It does say either, so I would be inclined to say you get one re-roll per cannon shot.

You reroll either misfire. If you try to reroll both you have no rerolled "either" but "both"
