I'm kinda new to SM and am wondering how people equip BA Razorbacks. Do you split the roles of the marines and the Razorback (IE Lascannons on the 'Back and flamers on the marines) for an all rounder appraoch? Or have the weapons geared to the same role?

Most people go with the Lascannon and Twin Linked Plasmagun on the Razorbacks and one meltagun in the 5 man Assault Marine Squad. You could also put a flamer in the squad instead of a meltagun. Usually its for when you drop your troops off. That way the troops can either annihilate a horde or pop some vehicles. This of course means that proper set up is required.

A little confused here. Wouldn't a TLLC be better for vehicle busting along with a meltagun?

Yes, against a vehicle. However sometimes there are other things running around than Armor Value, A TWLC is meh against Termies, where as the las/plas is smexy ntm killing marines

The key to playing mech BA is to move up the transports and tanks such that some vehicles in front generate cover (smoke) while the rest partly behind are able to shoot and get cover from the vehicles in front. This situation can be reversed in the next turn.

That might work on a larger table, but 99% percent of the time by turn 2 you and your opponent are already on top of each other. My advice to attach a SP with an Inferno Pistol to a unit to add a little extra staying power, and firepower. Also the TL PG/ Las and TL AC are the beasts.

So for general all comers setup, what is the recommended loadout on the squad and the Razorback? TLPG/LC with a Meltagun in the squad? Doesn't seem like it'd fare too well versus hordes.

Well, against hordes an assault cannon or a heavy flamer and a flamer in the squad is an option. However, in order to wipe out say a large Ork mob, you need a coordinated attack with two or three Razorbacks.
