Im preping for a 1500 point tournement and I've been told you can't make a 1500 point leaf blower so I've set my self the challenge of creating one is this a good list:

As long as you know this is an Illegal Army

Each Platoon must have 1 Platoon Command squad and 2-5 Infantry Platoons

This list is illegal. You can't take a platoon command squad without taking the mandatory two infantry squads with it as well.

Besides that, your CCS should really have special weapons as well, since it can legally carry four, at BS 4 I might add. Squadron rules really hurt and I'd avoid squadrons wherever possible. Your heavy support should read 2x manticores and 2x hydras (in a squadron) for maximum leaf blower. Or just three manticores.

So just switch the platoon command squads for veteran squads with three special weapons each and it'll be fine.

Should be 1500pts on the nose.

Cool but I only own 1 manticore & can't get one before the tornement & I do not have much success w hydras so how about 2 leman russ battle tanks & 1 manticore

I perffer melta guns in vet squads so I swap the plasma for melta & that leaves me w 40pts what do I do w that????

Plasmas are better for killing armoured infantry and monstrous creatures.

playing as a grey knights player, I have to say... why do people spurn hydras? I have seen them take out more storm ravens than I care to count... such a pain!

Thing is, a true leaf blower is near maxed out Arty with Chimeras with melta vets... shoot arty, move Chimeras 6", shoot, repeat, rince, wash. Vendettas are not even in the core, though they can work. That is not a leafblower, that is pretty much an illegal mech list.

First Leafblower had something like 2x hydras, 2x medusas, 1-2 Manticores, Chimera melta vets. I hear Goatboy kinda created it so he could have something to play at 4AM that didn't require a ton of mental focus.
