Ok so I'm starting a vampire counts army and this is what I'm building up to, I like the idea of running the dual lords with one being combaty the other being more caster and the general so he's not in the line of fire

Caster general sits in a skeleton bunker and the ghoul doomstar holds the rest of the characters
Making the doomstar weaponskill initiative 10(lore of light) and the other unit fighting at VL ws because of crown

Comments critiques pls! I've never played or played against the counts input is greatly appreciated

Really no comments at all lol? I know the list isn't perfect anybody have an opinion on how well it would play (strong phases /weak phases etc)

I never saw the value of Fencer Blades. Being WS7 already, it doesn't help vampire lords. You get +1 attack and they count as magical attacks, sure, but there's far more value in practically any other magic weapon.

Again, the value in making a unit WS 10 using the Helm of Commandment doesn't hold any real value, since you can make them WS 7 without taking the Fencers Blades and be just as well off. Take a different weapon, they're unnecessary.

Also Fencing Blades dosnt work with Helm of Commandment.

Its in some Faq somewhere ... was pointed out to me by someone else never confirmed it.

Yes the 24 skelly is the bunker for the commandment lord

The main reason I wanted a unit w ws 10 is for them to be harder to hit... Like most infantry having ws3-4 means they will only hit my ghouls on 5's right I do see what you meen tho as offensively it's pointless but defensively it could have value though I think I will take a poke through n rethink it maybe test it out once or twice

And yes the vamp FAQ shows that you can use fencers w helm of command and same w the armor that lowers your ws (it would confer the downgraded ws value b.c of the Armour)

Any thoughts on the list at all I know it's fairly simple I'm just wondering about GG or blood knights would they be significantly more useful than my current setup to make room for them??

Grave Guard would definitely hit harder than your current units like Ghouls, though think about how you want to use them. A Grave Guard deathstar, with great weapons, Banner of the Barrows, Wight King with Drakenhof Banner can easily eat up 600 points. Hits like a ton of bricks when it finally reaches the enemy, but it's basically your army, with your other stuff supporting it.
