Ok, I know there is a lot of military people in that area (gak i'm one of them) and I know we love to spend money on stuff. So who are all the gamers in my area?

I know there is a decent amount of people that play around the area. I just left on Friday(getting stationed in NH). There is a number of stores that support play on your side of the water, on the upper side its few and far between...

forget that upper side. i hate the HRBT I'm moving to ghent so I think tower of games plays. but i don't always wanna have to drive to chesapeake to play

Having grown up and lived in chesapeake for the last 8 years i can tell you that Tower is the place to go for 40k. Every saturday you'll find a game , guareented!

well I know Atlantis on little creek has a decent amount of people in there.... and I never played at Tower, but there was a good number of people in there when I did go in there.

@swamp where in Chesapeake exactly is that place? I'm moving to downtown Norfolk area in November.

Its right down little creek blvd just before the railroad tracks... google atlantis games and it'll come up with 3 locations, one of them is closed, but I do know the one in norfolk is still open...

I've started playing recently, I'm a little nervous about going to an actual shop to play, I've heard too many horror stories about that guy. How's the atmosphere of these games.

Tower of Games was the best place for a minute...but it seems like Atlantis in Norfolk is bouncing back a bit. Either store is a good place to go but Tower probably has the better chance of pick-up games. Check the stores calander for 40k days. I think they're Tues/Fri right now but don't quote me on that one.

I can be found at the tournaments all the time. I'm the one that wins first place whenever I attend. If you cannot get a game (or you find all your pick-up's are cupcakes) drop me a line here and we can schedule a game. Tower is closer for me.

I dunno what your skill level is, but I'd say the better gamers are probably frequenting tower right now. That's not to say it's a cutthroat scene...noone there is really "Tournament" competetive, with the exception of myself.

Both stores have discount programs that are worth being part of. Special orders are filled generally faster and filled with more attention at Tower but the discounts arent as sweet as they are at Atlantis.

Anyway, any questions just ask me in PM. Like I said I'm pretty much the only competetive player in the area with the exception of BatManuel and I've been around here for about a decade.

As for skill level, i've been playing only since jan but i find myself challenging if not beating people that have been playing for 10 plus years.

Well Im not "that guy" and could get in a game with you sometime. Let me know. I like Norfolk Atlantis, but tower was good the couple of times i played RTT there.

I'm just moving down to Virginia Beach and I'm looking for people to play with. I've got a 10 x 4 Realm of Battle board and plenty of terrain to pay with. Should take me about two weeks to be all settled and ready for a game. I play Tallarn guard, Blood Angels, and Grey Knights. My Knight army is heavily Rogue Trader era and my Tallarn army is mostly comprised of 2nd edition models.
